Thinking of Becoming a Client .....
1. GENERAL INFO– WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Wedding Photography is no easy subject and interviewing potential wedding photographers can be time consuming and overwhelming. Regardless of if you are hiring the Jill Most Wedding Photography Team or another studio, here is some helpful info that will get you in the right direction.
2. WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY STYLE?
This should be your first and foremost question as this is the style of photography that interests you. Jill Most Photography is a luxury brand with an artistic style. I am well versed in documenting the moments of the day along with setting up some magical moments when needed. See for yourself by clicking on my portfolio page and seeing the past adventures I have been on. The full gallery examples are available upon booking. I do not post more then four photos of each wedding to respect my very special client's privacy.
3. HOW MANY WEDDINGS HAVE YOU WORKED WITH? AND HAVE YOU WORKED ONE LIKE MINE?
This is a great question! It's great to get an idea of how much experience your potential Wedding Photographer has. Jill has been working weddings strictly for the last seven years full-time in the state of Washington and additional 2 years with international weddings and events. She has fifteen years of photography experience with formal training from the Seattle Art Institute and earns a multitude of certifications and continuing education credits in photography yearly. Please take caution with this question when asking potential photographers. Someone might say they have been working as a photographer for six years but that is not full time and not only for weddings. But, that is not to say they can not do an amazing job, just be sure you know who and what you are investing into.
4. ARE YOU A FULL TIME WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
This is the second part of question three. Jill Most Photography is 95% Wedding Photography only. The other 5% is returning clients with new babies on the way and/or they are a referral for Senior portraits. Do I take on clients I do not know for the 5%?? Very rarely, but I do. I like to give my referrals top priority and I love catching up with my past clients. It is such an honor to be a part of such a special time in life. I seriously LOVE seeing the same smiling faces and feel honored when I am a part of their life in many stages. Yes, I take new wedding clients following a video chat and/or a meeting in person. This way we can both be sure we are a good fit for each other. After all, this is your wedding and it is important you know me first too. :D
5. HOW MANY EVENTS DO YOU WORK ON AN AVERAGE WEEKEND?
On average I will work from 1-3 weddings on any given weekend. But that is not two in one day. I never book even a maternity or engagement on the same day of any other booking. I keep my schedule simple and straight to the point on who I am working with on what days. It is also dependent on the season highs and lows every year. When it is not full swing wedding season, I will shoot less on the wedding side and more engagements and other smaller events. As well as keep in mind weddings in Hawaii are usually year round so the “down” time is very rare for me.
6. IS THERE AN AGREEMENT TO SIGN AND HOW DO I GET THIS?
Yes, I have an agreement with each and every client. I have an attachment you can download if you hit the Request PDF AGREEMENT below I will link the page to you. This way you can go over the details of what you are in for. This is to keep you safe from any issues along with myself, and ensuring we are all on the same page. I also have page amendments if there are any specifics (ex. high profile clients wish not to have anything posted and I cannot mention I worked for) that we can both agree upon.
7. WHAT IF YOU GET SICK OR HURT?
Yes, This does happen from time to time - I am human. But I have second and third shooters that do work for me that I can bring along or send if need be. I have never missed a wedding so rest assured that Jill Most Photography is going to be accountable for your special day.
8. IS JILL MOST USING INSURANCE?
Yes, as a professional photographer I need this to keep myself and my gear covered. As well as most venues will request this to work in their property. I am happy to provide proof of insurance to my clients if they ask for it on request.
9. WHAT DOES MY PACKAGE INCLUDE?
All my packages and info can be found on the Price page. This will change slightly from time to time but it will show you the specifics of what you are getting. I am happy to figure something out if there is anything that does not match your needs or wants, we can potentially add or subtract items. However, all items are usually substituted, not removed or discounted.
When seeking a photographer, don’t get caught up to the amount of products each photographer is promising. Stay focused on the actual quality of the work provided. We realize that some people are working within a budget. Think to yourself that you can always purchase an album or additional prints later (even 5-10 years later), but you can’t change the quality of the photographs taken at the wedding after the wedding day.
We strive to tell clients if there is something you need to cut from your package to make it more affordable, start with the products. Cut the prints from the package, remove the album, but don’t go with a cheaper photographer because they are willing to give you all the products you want up front. If you can, always keep at least two photographers in your package.
10. DO YOU GIVE ME THE RAW IMAGES?
No, I do not hand over the RAW images. I do an online private personal web Gallery. So depending on the package, you also get prints and/or USB flash drives. There is really no reason you would need the RAW image files unless we are making a billboard so do not worry the High Resolution JPEGs will be just perfect for all your needs.
11. WHAT DO YOU WEAR WHEN AT THE WEDDING?
I wear anything that is wedding guest wear. I will not be in a leopard print unitard so rest assured I, and my team are tasteful in our attire.
12. HOW LONG AFTER THE EVENT WILL THE PHOTOS BE READY?
Each Wedding timeline is usually about the same. It sometimes varies from time to time depending on if I am traveling a lot that month and or depending on the season. I will always keep you posted on my post production process and where I am at with it all.
